I have a bridged interface (br0) which works fine for VMs setup by the root user (using virt-manager). I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 Server AMD64 and the most up-to-date packages for virt-manager, etc.

When I use virt-manager as a user, the bridged network option is greyed-out. Why is this, and how can I enable the option?
