The highly rated Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) of Bombay along with Vmware in association with Netapp recently held a two day conference Convergence 08 on March 15th and 16th focusing on research activities in virtualization. The list of companies present included Intel, Vmware, Qumranet, Symantec, Netapp, NetXen among others.

One of the invited speakers, Amit Shah, is a KVM developer working with the official KVM maintainer, Qumranet. Amit's slide deck presentation is also available at his blog site where he writes a short blog on the event. A list of the talk abstracts and speaker profiles is also available on the website.

By the way i had been to attend one more conference. Its based on the computing field. Its a Cloud Computing Virtual Conference 2009, Which is the global cloud computing event, covering latest trends and innovations in the world of cloud computing. It is the 1st Annual Virtual Conference on Cloud Computing was hosted online April 20-24, 2009.
