Today the lastest release of kvm kernel module was released featuring support for up to 64 vcpus. The kvm kernel module is developed in sync with upstream linux kernel. The kernel module maintainer, Jan Kiszka , went ahead and released this version since there are currently no pending patches in the current kernel queue for 2.6.34. These releases allow you to use the latest features with older linux kernels if available. To use this module, simply compile and install with configure, make and make install with your linux distribution. The changelog for this latest release is shown below.

initial Hyper-V emulation?
Wednesday, April 21, 2010 - 16:51 Anonymous (not verified)What it means Hyper-V emulation?
Is it mean, that I will be able (when finished) to run
Win Server with Hyper-V under KVM?
BTW. do you know when will it be available to run XEN under KVM?
So I can test XEN virtualization using virtual machines on KVM?
I've tested the new version
