New Rawhide Virtualization Repository Available to Fefdora 12 users

Today an announcement went out on the fedora-virt mailing list about a new rawhide virtualization repository for Fedora 12 which was released two days ago. This continues what started for Fedora 11 users in that it provides access to the latest development virtualization packages for the next release ( Fedora 13 in this case which is expected to be released in about 6 months ) to current users of Fedora 12. This repository includes some new features over the previous one for Fedora 11 such as more automated builds.

To access the repository from Fedora 12, add a file to your /etc/yum.repos.d directory with a name such as fedora-virt-preview.repo with the following contents

[virt-preview]
name=Virtualization Rawhide for Fedora 12
baseurl=http://jforbes.fedorapeople.org/virt-preview/f12/$basearch/
enabled=1
gpgcheck=0

If you were using the virtualization rawhide repository with Fedora 11, you can simply edit your repo file and update it to the contents shown above and resynchronize.

You can browse the repo via http using the following link

I’ve included a repo file for download that you can use below.
