Hello,

I have LInux box and Win XP SP3 on top of it for playing really old games (1995-2000)

Here are some info about linux box:

[root@void ~]# uname -r
2.6.32-131.0.15.el6.x86_64
[root@void ~]# rpm -qa *kvm*
qemu-kvm-0.12.1.2-2.160.el6.x86_64
qemu-kvm-tools-0.12.1.2-2.160.el6.x86_64

I have installed Win XP SP3 on top of the RAW LVM but performance are really bad. (no additional driver installed)

I have downloaded http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/virtio-win/latest/images/bin/virtio... but not really sure how to install it ? (any how-to for Windows impair people :) )

1. Is there any hope for playing old games on this Win XP ?
2. Is there any HOW-TO for install of this drivers ?

Thx.

You need to use WINE for what you are doing

Hi Stator:

You should use wine for Win32 games on Linux. I run AoE I, II and III in wine and it is perfect.

qemu-kvm lacks 3D acceleration so it is not yet for games.

Cheers,
John
