Hi

In my VMware ESXi "White Box" i had to create raw device maps so as to be able to read my drives in other non-ESXi machines. Not doing this meant my data was in a "virtual container" so to speak and would not be accessible outside the host.

I went this route as my mobo / cpu did not have direct I/O pass-through.

Does the same apply with KVM?

If so what is the process to create Raw Device Maps in KVM?

Thanks.
