I've been running a Windows XP KVM guest successfully on Gentoo for a couple of months now, thanks in large part to the great info on this site. I'll probably stick with XP for a while but installed a copy of Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit the other day just to have a look at it. I haven't tried to install the new Windows virtio drivers yet but intend to.

The audio cards emulated by KVM are rather old and don't seem to be supported by Windows 7. Is there any way to get audio working in a Windows 7 guest?

I did but still couldn't get sound. I assume it's a w7 64-bit issue. Haven't had time to try installing the 32-bit version yet but I'm hoping sound will work with it.
