Hardware: Acer Aspire 5920G (Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00GHz) 2Gb RAM
Manager: Virtual Machine Manager 0.7.0 running on Ubuntu 9.10 running kernel 2.6.31-17-generic

Guest, created from VMM:2 CPUs/ 2, 1006Mb RAMallocated. 40Gb HD from LVM

Windows 7 Home Premium installing from ISO image.

Initial install runs fine, then crashes when win7 reboots. I get the "fireworks" startup then it blue-screens. The error message is
BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO
...

0x00000074 (0x00000002 0x8B7E1BA8 0x00000002 0xc000014C)

MSDN reports that this is a memory fault issue and I should replace RAM, but Memtest86+ passes...

I also have Win7 running from another partition, so I know the disk the ISO came from is fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Steve

Re: Windows 7 Home Premium Install Failure

This isn't normal behaviour, if you still have this issue on latest qemu-kvm, you should bring this to the KVM development list, they'll more likely be able to identify the issue:
